Meet Dr. Green
Dr. Green completed his medical training at the Medical College of Georgia in 1984. Over the years, he has developed a keen interest in treating overweight and obese patients. He now specializes in treating adolescents (16 or older) and adults who are overweight. His practice is limited to bariatrics only, so he can devote his complete attention to the concerns of his overweight patients.
While any doctor can offer a supervised diet program, bariatricians (medical weight control specialists) have special knowledge, tools and techniques to design an individualized program tailored to each patient's needs. Care by a bariatric physician is the safest and fastest route to your weight loss goals.
Dr. Green opened Medical Weight Loss Center of Augusta in 1998 in order to devote his professional time to treating overweight and obese individuals. He is an active member in the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and is Board Certified in Bariatrics by the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. He is the only Augusta physician to achieve this distinction and only one of five physicians currently board certified in Bariatrics in the entire state of Georgia. He continues to participate in postgraduate medical education, attends bariatric meetings, and reviews bariatric literature, while continually looking for newer strategies, medications, and products to help his patients be successful.
